September 2007 The Southern African Music Rights Organisation (SAMRO) is now represented by AMRA in the United States. Based on a reciprocal agreement AMRA's works will also be represented by SAMRO.

CISAC and BIEM Membership
At its annual meeting in Brussels on June 1, 2007, the CISAC General Assembly admitted AMRA as a full member of CISAC. CISAC, the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers, works towards increased recognition and protection of creators' rights. CISAC numbers 219 authors' societies from 115 countries and indirectly represents more thaan 2.5 million creators within all the artistic repertoires: music, drama, literature, audio-visual works, graphic and visual arts.
